Korg MS-20 Patch Panel Part 1
The very cool Matrixsynth blog posted this YouTube video by AutomaticGainsay that I thought others might find useful. The MS-20 is a really cool synth, but the patch panel is not always very obvious, and the manual is pretty lacking in specifics on it, so this is very helpful to those of us who only got so far through trial and error. I look forward to part 2!

I actually find the range/offset choices for the modulation sources to be more interesting on the MS20. For instance, when you introduce AR envelope to pitch amount, it was designed such that it offsets pitch down by the amount of the AR->pitch knob, then as the AR rises, oscillator pitch rises to proper pitch, then releases down again when the key is released. Stuff like that makes it really musical!
It's an incredible synth to be sure. I really wonder how many people don't realize the potential inside it because of some of the more unusual ways in which it works...
