D16 Working on SH-101 Clone?
According to this thread over on KVR, D16 Group, who have famously modeled some other classic Roland gear, may be working on an SH-101 clone called Sh101tor (or is it 'Shioiter'?!). This shot of the interface shows expanded features over the real thing, much like their previous emulations. If this is anywhere near the level of quality of their previous products (and there's no reason to think it won't be), this is going to be an essential. I love my 101, and although others have tried emulating it in software form, so far no one has really captured the sound of the real deal. I suspect D16 might just be the ones to do it right.

That's good news to me too, since I have been searching for a good SH101 clone too.
Those guys are so busy! I love my 101 but sometimes the convenience of software would be nice and I have yet to hear a dog from D16, they do great work! Can't wait.
If they nail it, this would make me so happy. I've got one 101, but wish I had 5... a good clone would allow that in a much more economical fashion.
Just noticed that they may be adding some features, but they're leaving out the sequencer functionality. Bad move! That's the handiest little sequencer around.
Yeah, that's be a shame. It's funny because when I emailed Sebastian at D16 to let him know the last review was up, I said I hoped they'd do a 101 emulator. Little did I know, they were way ahead of me. But yeah, this'll make me very happy if it sounds like the real deal.
I love them! gonna pick up their drum machines soon.
sounds so freaking good
Really effective material, thanks so much for the post.
