Does anyone else have no intention of upgrading to and no interest in Logic 9?
-Tom N
I have no interest in Logic 9. I'm a PC user!
i don't see any reports of other people having problems with their liquid mix and logic 9.0.1. I have seen many reports where it does function normally. Did you contact focusrite ?
I think they still have beta 16 online.
I know that one gave me some problems, and i just uninstalled it and installed everything again. Worked like a charm.
L9 has been such a disappointment...due to the fact that sidechain'd instruments hang, and I've gotten all sorts of weird project errors and crashes that never happened on L8...they came out w/this release waaay too early I think
oh yeah, and still no fix on the sidechain bug in the 9.0.2 update, and that issue has been around for a while now!
The I/O plug latency measure is nice as is flex snap to midi... HOWEVER, I can't believe the overload error is still there! The most irritating bug of all is still there... *sigh*...
@K - Yes, I've contacted Focusrite and they are aware of the problem. Even with 9.0 there is some strange behavior with LiquidMix, but it at least works, which it wouldn't under 9.0.1 for me.
@Matty - I thought for sure I saw someone on a discussion board say the sidechain bug had been fixed... did it not work for you?
@John - I haven't run into the overload error since I upgraded, but I also have a much more powerful computer now, so I am nowhere near hitting CPU limits.
@john
Yeah...haven't had the error since I upgraded as well...maybe once in a blue moon...if that
@tom
Yep...still there...i think it's only fixed on the selected track when you stop cycling...that track won't hang...but the rest will...hopefully they'll get the act together in 9.0.3
@Matty - They seem to be pretty on top of getting bugs squashed this time around, so hopefully they'll get it sorted.
@Tom
I'm running a loaded MacPro and no where near CPU limits... It seems to trigger mainly with non Apple plugs when they kick in. Once you play the track, it overloads, then stop and then play the track again it will play fine. A royal pain in the arse. Actually it's ok in the studio but I can't imagine anyone using it live...
I haven't updated from Logic 8 and still run Tiger in a fully loaded MacPro. I can deal with the occasional overload messages. If it's not broke I'm not going to mess with it. I don't think a lot of my plugins are Leopard certified anyway.
