Are You Freakin' Kidding Me?

So, Technology's ongoing war against me continues.

After just having replaced my studio computer, the hard drive on my laptop decided to turn in its resignation yesterday. I'm fairly certain just replacing the drive will fix things, but SERIOUSLY. I GET it, Technology. You reign supreme and I am but a lowly human. You win. Enough.

When it rains it pours. I lost a hard drive, a distortion pedal, 2 stereo 1/4 inch cables (how two go out at almost the same point is beyond me)and a pair of headphones all in 3 days time not too far back right in the middle of a new disc...yeah I feel your pain and send condolences

The mind boggles...

And it's all so coincidental, I'm starting to fear for my gear...

(That rhyme was NOT intended...)

I find my aluminum foil lederhosen prevent any negative frequency interference.

Computers are great. I have two of 'em. However, I also have a dedicated hard disk recorder because if the computer goes south I can still record and export it as WAV files later.

Tom,

You might want to think about getting a raid 1 network hard drive ... in order to lose data both hard drives would have to die at the sametime ... the odds of that are pretty slim ... another thing that is important in keeping stuff safe ... but the way ur luck is going ... nahhhhh just kidding ;)
