Waldorf Announces New Version of PPG Softsynth

Waldorf Music has resurrected their venerable PPG Wave emulating softsynth in the form of PPG 3.V. The real PPG was a groundbreaking synth that made use of digital wavetables that could be modulated instead of static waveforms. It eventually spawned Waldorf's popular Microwave line of wavetable synths.

The new version boasts several new improvements over the previous version:

• 256 Note Polyphony
• Emulation of the Waveterm sampling option allowing sample playback at 8, 16, or 32 bit resolution.
• Drag and drop sample loading
• Sample library including the original Waveterm libraries
• Selectable 12 and 24db filters
• Filter overdrive
• New arpeggiator modes including the unique "cascading" mode.
• Extensive new built-in effects.

Nice...I've been thinking it needs at least a GUI update for years now...
