xOxbOx TB-303 Replica on Ebay
The xOxbOx is a recent replica of the infamous Roland TB-303. I know it is probably one of the most over-used synth sounds ever, but I have to admit I never get tired of the sound of a 303. And the weird, pain-in-the-ass programming style almost guarantees unusual, bleepy riffs.

Not quoting you by any means, but in general I'm dismissive when people talk about the 303 and how 'overused' it is in the negative sense. Its an instrument. Its like saying "I'm tired of people playing guitars and bass in songs". Those sounds are far more overused in the grand scheme of the things, than this alien thing that took over in the 90's.
Ehh, yes, but let's be honest, guitarists especially tend to use a lot more varied effects and get a much wider range of timbres than the typical 303 user does. Not to mention that guitars and basses have dozens more performance techniques and dynamics levels than just 'accent' and 'slide'.
Funny thing is, the x0xb0x has a completely different sequencer implementation than the 303, and as such does away with both the "pain in the ass" and the "lends itself to interesting rhythmic patterns" features of the original. I still dig my x0x, but I kind of wish I could flip a switch and enter the "pain in the ass, multiple passes through the steps to get anything done" 303-clone sequencer mode.
I didn't know that... how is the sequencer set up on the x0x?
This will not work as a matter of fact, that's what I consider.
I want IT!! what a beauty stuff, love that! so cool
