Metallica on Discovery's Timewarp
In case you've never seen it before, "Timewarp" is a show on the Discovery Channel where they use high-speed photography to slow down ordinary events so you can see them in extraordinary detail. It's kind of hit or miss in general, but there is usually at least one really interesting segment. This past week, they turned their cameras on Metallica.
No matter your opinion of the band, it's a fascinating episode, and musicians especially might find a slowed down look at Hammett and Trujillo's playing enlightening. I am sure it will be re-run, so be sure to check your listings to find out when it will be on next. In the meantime, check out some clips from the episode.
