The Minimoog Model A

If you're a someone who likes to read up on synth history, you may have wondered if, since the classic Minimoog as we know it is known as the "Model D", if there were Models A-C. Indeed there were early prototypes that differed quite a bit from the one we know and love. This picture is of the first one, the Model A. Not quite as pretty as the final design, eh? You can check out the Models B and C at the site linked below.

The audities site is confusing; I have no idea how to see the pictures of models B & C.

Follow-up - OK, I eventually figured it out, but the site is over-designed. For anyone else who is thrown off, you have to go to audities.org, proceed past the Flash thing, and click "collection".
