As some of you have probably heard, one of the countless businesses destroyed by the recent riots in London this week was PIAS, the legendary European distributor. Dozens of indies labels lost massive amounts of stock in the fire, an especially cruel twist of fate given the difficulties the music industry at large has suffered recently.

But not all hope is lost. Some people have organized charities to help the labels recover, but how do you know who's legit? Peter Kirn ran this interesting article and interview yesterday that's worth looking into if you want to help.
