Slow week...
How'd you spend YOUR weekend? I unfortunately had to have an emergency appendectomy and will be recovering for the next week or so. Because the painkillers they have me on are pretty strong, any updates to the blog this week will be minimal if they happen at all. I hope to be back in full force in a week, though, so thanks for your patience!

Wow, sorry to hear that Tom. Glad to hear you're on the mend though.
By the way I wanted to comment that I have been enjoying your blog. The tips have been helpful, leading me to try new things. One curiosity I have is how you processed the vocals for the Nerve Filter remix of Binary. Not sure if that could be addressed in a blog entry or not, but pretty cool effect!

Rob - On that remix, I ran the original vocal through Bram@Smartelectronix.com's Supatrigga (http://bram.smartelectronix.com/plugins.php?id=6) and MDSP@Smarteletronix.com's LiveCut (http://mdsp.smartelectronix.com/2005/07/livecut.php).
I rendered each one out several times (since these are quasi-random effects, the results are different each time), and then did a lot of cutting a pasting to composite the bits I thought worked best together. This was before I upgraded to Logic 8 which has dead easy composite features, so I can't wait to try this technique again!
