Last One Out Turn the Lights Off

It's been a long time coming, but I have made the decision to shut down Waveformless, at least for the foreseeable future.  The reason is simple: my workload is just too heavy to keep up with it.  Happily, I work in the music industry, so being really busy is great, but I've gotten to the point where something has to give, and closing up shop here at Waveformless is the easiest way to lighten my load a bit

I will not be taking the blog down, so you'll be able to read all the articles and reviews to your heart's content.  I will also be continuing with Waveformless Soundware, although it admittedly might be some time before the next release.  In the meantime, I will continue to post interesting stuff I find on my personal Twitter, so feel free to follow me there.

I have a lot of people to thank for making the past 6 years of Waveformless.  First and foremost, thanks very much to my readers, without whom this blog wouldn't have been possible.  Thank you to the developers who were kind enough to provide me with so many amazing plug-ins, synths, and sample libraries to review.  Thank you to the other bloggers who linked to Waveformless and helped grow our readership (and to Ronnie for reviewing my Waveformless Soundware releases).  And an extra special thanks to Adam, who was always dependable for an interesting Free Sample Friday submission when I was too busy or on the road.

Who knows that the future will bring, but for the next year or so, I am going to be plenty busy.  I really enjoyed sharing tips and reviewing stuff, and could easily see myself going back to it some day, but for the time being, you've got amazing blogs like Synthtopia, Create Digital Music, Matrixsynth, Rekkerd, Bedroom Producers, Sequencer.de, Music of Sound, and more to keep you entertained.  So long, and thanks for all the fish!

Sorry to see the end of the blog, but being able to stay busy whilst in the music industry is obviously a good thing.
Thanks for the entertaining read over the past few years.

All the best.

P.S. I won't miss those bloody Captchas! ;)

I still have "back issues" to read, so thanks for leaving the site up. Honestly, I would rather have you making new music.

Thanks for all of the great blog posts! While it's sad to see the site slow down, perhaps it means we can enjoy your other new endeavors.

Thanks for running such an interesting blog - it was daily reading to me and always managed to find something from around the net I'd missed.

That's too bad, Waveformless was one of my daily visits since day one. It will be sad to see it go.

On the other hand, can't wait to hear your new music!

Thanks so much for the kind comments, everyone!

Sad day indeed. I've been following since day one and learned so much.

:(

Not to be crass, but for anyone interested, I'll continue with free sample Fridays as consistently as I can on my blog.

I am very sad to see this go. Waveformless has been a daily visit for me for the past few years. But, if this means more great music from A23 and other Tom-related projects, then, OK, it's worth loosing this.

I believe you take, or start to think of, a more professional as well as thorough approach to both what and how you write, which in turn helps you to carry on and get better and be an help others who don’t know everything about what you have shared here. Thank you.

Thank you so much for all that you do, Tom! You are one of the people who always gives himself away for the others and only does the best. When it is music, - you reach beyond all the possible limits and when you keep the blog, - you try your best to let everyone see your experience, humour and knowledge. When you choose to do something, then you polish it until it really shines or do not do it at all. The professional approach when you are choosing not to do "half this and half that", but rather choose the field to work in. Your music gives freedom and it is the freedom that you have inside, - the choice and the wisdom.

Thank you so much for sharing so much information and interesting reviews through this blog and thank you for leaving it up for all of us to read. As one of the people who has discovered this gem not so long time ago, it is a treasure to read and have it for the reference. :)

I wish you best of luck with music and all the future projects that you may have in progress. Take it easy and do not forget to give yourself some credit for all that you do - you deserve it, Tom!

Take the best care, stay safe and shine on, you crazy diamond! ;)

Hello,

My name is Alec and I work for the marketing department at VPN4ALL ltd.
We provide a VPN service that encrypts all data transmitted over the internet and tunnels online communications through one of our secure server locations. It changes ones visibility to the World IP address and protects a browser against online snoopers and intruders. All in one click!

I contacted you a few days ago with a partnership proposal in my mind. I didn’t receive your reply and I thought that maybe you had never received my email.

I loved your website’s quality content and lay out and I wanted to take a moment to reach out regarding an opportunity for us to partner together, whereby you’d be earning commissions on sales your referrals make referred through an affiliate link in your website.
Or are you new to Affiliate Marketing?

An Affiliate program is an online referral system, where through an affiliate account in our Affiliate program you can get your own individual “referral link” to promote our products.

The commission earnings start from 25 percent for each sale and go up depending on your performance with our affiliate program.

It’s fast, easy and 100% FREE to sign up. To join or learn more about our affiliate program, please visit our affiliate page through this link https://www.vpn4all.com/userportal/guestaffiliates.php

If you’re not ready to promote our product right away, I would still love to hear back from you: to see how/if we can still work together. I am open for any reciprocal promotion, if you have anything in mind just let me know.
I’m very much looking forward to your reply.

Best Regards,
Alec/marketing department,
