Is This For Real?!

It's not uncommon for me to peruse eBay and find myself thinking, "Man, they are on crack if they think they are going to get that much money for that synth."  This one takes the cake, though.  A Sequential Prophet 600 with missing end cheeks, two broken keys and COVERED in dust and scratches.  The seller insists "it's one of the finest specimens I've ever come across" and then asks that bidding start at $2,999.  Check it out...

Can I have some of what he is smoking?

I’m bidding 6 grand because I don’t want it to get away.

Shipping at 10,000 dollars...quite expensive! I think this is not for real. The normal price is around 800 dollars, isn't it?

Talking to someone who has dealt with this company before, this seems to be real. Apparently he routinely buys stuff for super cheap and marks it way the hell up?

"beautifully maintained"

..except it's not. the dust is a clue. i prophesize it contains 600g of cocaine.

your welcome

I'd love to see what constitutes a 'poor example'.

after seeing this listing for the prophet~600, i was actually thinking of sending "perfect circuit" a msg on ebay

"are you crazy? the dust, the broken key, no endcheecks ... it's completely obvious that this p600 was not taken care of!"
