Don't get me wrong, I've played with a real 808 before and it's true that samples don't do this thing justice, but I can't believe the prices I see these fetching these days!

I actually had the urge to buy one recently figuring that after all these years they would have come down in price... whoa, they actually doubled (tripled?). And to think, a friend of mine bought one of these for $150 once, but it is long gone now. Still can't beat a real 808 though, it's almost worth it as long as it has ahhh midi.
