As modern electronic musicians, we can never have enough hard drive space, but now might not be the best time to pick up a new one. Thailand, as it turns out, manufactures over a quarter of the world's hard drives, and recently has suffered severe monsoons and flooding. The end result? So far, an 180% increase in the price of hard drives in the past month alone. I’m sitting here right now trying to decide which samples I really need on my laptop and which ones I can just leave on my desktop. I was going to get a 1T drive for the laptop, but I guess I’ll have to live with the 500G.
