Sinevibes Releases Oscillator and Frequency

Sinevibes have released a pair of unusual instruments for Mac called Oscillator and Frequency. Here's what they have to say about them:

"FREQUENCY

Frequency is an AudioUnit effect plugin that lets you create amazing synth and bass lines full of character.

At it’s core is a synthesizer which can produce an incredible variety of tones and textures. It pairs a dual oscillator with our highly-acclaimed waveshape transformer, and modulates it’s level and shape from the input signal’s envelope. Combined with a flexible pitch sequencer, Frequency lets you turn rhythmic sound sources into expressive, catchy synth and bass lines, dynamic drones, wobbling sounds, as well as glitch loops and oldschool game effects. This unique plugin will make you completely rethink the definition of «synthesizer».

Features

  • Synthesizer with dual sine oscillator and six high-definition waveshape transformation algorithms.
  • Note sequencer with up to 16 steps, variable timing, swing and glide.
  • Input envelope follower with adjustable sensitivity and smoothness.
  • Intuitive, resolution-independent user interface.
  • Useful collection of preset patches.

Compatibility

Frequency requires Mac OS 10.5 or later. It is a Universal Binary with 32 and 64 bit compatibility. You will also need an AudioUnit host application that supports Cocoa user interface technology. Please make sure to install the demo version to test Frequency on your system.

OSCILLATOR

Oscillator is an AudioUnit effect plugin that lets you turn any audio into sci-fi effects, glitches and noises.

It is based on a unison sine oscillator with up to six widely detunable voices whose parameters are modulated using the input signal’s dynamics. Each oscillator can also be individually ring-modulated with the input signal. Combined with phase randomization and frequency stepping features, all this lets Oscillator turn any audio signal into a wide variety of sounds and effects – from interesting synths, basses and melodic strums to blips, zaps, glitches and beyond.

Features

  • Six sine oscillators with wide detune and variable frequency stepping.
  • Six ring modulators.
  • Input envelope follower with adjustable sensitivity and smoothness.
  • Intuitive, resolution-independent user interface.
  • Useful collection of preset patches.

Compatibility

Oscillator requires Mac OS 10.5 or later. It is a Universal Binary with 32 and 64 bit compatibility. You will also need an AudioUnit host application that supports Cocoa user interface technology. Please make sure to install the demo version to test Oscillator on your system."
