I have a SIDStation, although not the Ninja. The two are functionally identical, it's just the LEDs and anodized job that's different.
That said, I'll never part with this thing. It's a terrible, gritty, lo-fi sounding box, but it just has this character and retro feel that can't be repeated with a Reaktor ensemble.
You can get an old C64 for 20€, and a Mssiah cartridge for about 50€ which makes 80€ or 110$. With a little bid of DIY you can even add a second SID to make it sound even phatter... The only inconvenience of this solution is that it needs a little monitor to run, otherwise you won't see the controls.
well I got pairs of Sid chips for 25$ I found single chips for as low as 5. all perfectly working. The later revisions tend to be cheaper than the 6581 and imho also sound better (but this really is a matter of personal taste)

I think it's really unbelievable how much they charge for these Sid Stations... I mean, you can get the same thing for under 100 bucks...
Where do we get the same thing for under $100?

You can't get anything like this for under 100 bucks. The 6581 chips are probably worth 50 bucks now on ebay. Good luck.

This can't have effect in actual fact, that's exactly what I think.
