Audio Demos for Waveformless Soundware's Vanguard Phoenix Soundset

Waveformless Soundware Vanguard Phoenix Demos by waveformless

Here are some audio demos I threw together for my new bank of 128 Vanguard presets available for just $9.99 via Waveformless Soundware. All sounds except drums are from the bank, and no external effects save for a little compression and EQ here and there to keep the mix clean were used. Enjoy!

Tom, that IDM tune sounds badass- you should do a sideproject album!!!

I was just gonna post that! Yeah, great little IDM tune. The sounds are great, too. I wish you well on your new venture.

Thanks, guys... Kind of already did the IDMish thing with Nerve Filter and it was met mostly with indifference. I'm glad you guys liked the snippet, though!

oh, P.S.

I bought "Linear" on your last tour. It took a few listens to get adjusted and now I can't put it down. To be honest, I'm listening to that more than A23 albums recently. Its very technical and layered. Lots of creative work went in to that album and it shows. Certainly some Simon Posford influence somewhere in there. I feel you should keep Nerve Filter going.

I bought the soundbank and I'm loving it! Great job Tom. When we finish a song with these we'll send it to you.

Funny you say that. I was excited by Nerve Filter when I listened to teases before it came out, but I never heard the full length. I'm not surprised it was met with indifference vs. A23, A23 is much more accesible. IDM in general reminds me of Eno's "Another Green World", an album that was so important to me growing up, although to most people it would not be that into it. But that's my favorite kind of music: it creates a world to it's own, without need for lyrics to express what it means.

Vanguard was the first soft synth I bought, and back then I was very influenced by A23. So it is kind of funny to see a bank of sounds for vanguard coming out. ;)

I'll never say never, but truth be told, I simply don't listen to much IDM these days, as I did back when I did the last album. Could happen some day, but definitely not for the immediate future.

AYE!

I see side projects not as the money maker, but an outlet for expression and a tool for technique development. Its rare that they take the place of the main project. A23 has a clear course of progression and development, but Nerve Filter does not. It can be anything you want it to be, DnB, glitch, ambient, minimal...
