Propellerheads Releases ReBirth for iPhone

If you've been into softsynths since the beginning, you undoubtedly remember the initial offering from a little Swedish company called Propellerheads.  Rebirth was one of the first widely popular software synths and emulated the infamous Roland TB-303 and TR-909 and 808 drum boxes.

Now, over a decade after this pioneering bit of software first hit our hard drives, it has been adapted for the iPhone.  Visit rebirthapp.com for details.

Nice nostalgia... I remember Rebirth :) It should be interesting to see how this compares to "technoBox (303 808 909 studio)", which is already a fantastic iPhone 303/808/909 emulator...

ReBirth being unusable on any modern Mac's (past os9) is just a crime. I'm still bitter.

Original ReBirth (well, version 3.1) still runs perfectly fine on my XP machines. Though the CD-Rom check is a major pain and kind of stifles spur-of-the-moment noodling.

Still heaps of fun, though. This could be a killer app...

@ Alan,

Use a disc mount program like Magic Disc (free) to have the iso permantly mounted on your PC ;)

I have downloaded it. It is a bit fiddly to start with but with some experience it works well.
