Arturia Releases New Versions of Softsynths, Drops Pricing

Arturia has announced new versions of their line of softsynths.  The new versions are 64-bit compatible and feature better CPU performance.  Even better, however, is that the price for all ten synths has dropped to $99 a piece!  Minimoog V and Moog Modular V have also been re-named to Mini V and Modular V, as their licensing for the Moog name has expired.

More Info on the New Xils Lab Synth

Earlier this week, Xils-Lab announced that their next product would not be an emulation of an obscure analog synth like their earlier products, but would instead be an entirely new synth.

Now we know that synth will be called Oxium and in another break from their past products, it will not require a dongle for copy-protection. (Bravo!)  Here's what they have to say:

"Oxium is a performance oriented synthesizer, offering both a classic  pure analog sound and modern tones. with awesome real time modulations capabilities, allowing you to play a synthesizer in ways you could never have imagined.

Due to its simple and intuitive user interface Oxium is fast and easy to operate: 

• Classic instruments : Use up to 8 Xils-lab thick and musical oscillator wave forms per patch and shapes them with the double filter structure. The main unit uses Xilslab 3rd generation zero-delay feedback filter with self-oscillation in each mode while the second offers a vocal formant mode in addition to high-pass, band-pass and low-pass modes.
