You get paid about 1/1000th of a cent per play. I don't think there's anything wrong with using it as a way to discover and evaluate music, I just worry that these streaming services are going to become a replacement, which would pretty much spell the end of professional musicians as we know them.Tomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17737887998205375368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4040112777996013749.post-30873043747335374612012-06-12T21:30:59.940-07:002012-06-12T21:30:59.940-07:00Listening to it right now for the first time on Sp...Listening to it right now for the first time on Spotify. ("Darkflow" is playing - my favorite so far). Great album as usual! Now -- here's my question: is Spotify a good deal for you as an artist? Should I feel guilty by going the Spotify route? A lot of music I would have purchased lately on iTunes I am now hearing on Spotify (I stopped Mog because the interface bugged me)... Does the artist make comparable money from these streaming services? It's probably a lot less, right?Marknoreply@blogger.com
