Barry Andrews from Shriekback was a big fan of the JX-8P, too.
Yeah, that's right... If I recall correctly, he even mentions it on a live Shriekback track I have somewhere...They released a new album not too long ago that was actually quite good (ie NOT like Go Bang)
i also used one which i had once upon a time in the track ironyhttp://clinta.ecol.net/irony.mp3i since sold it to a guy whose apartment later burned -- the jx was destroyed by water damage from putting out the fire :(
